Springboard Ambassador

When Robert told me that he wanted me to become a Springboard Ambassador, trepidation was all I could think about as doing presentations and public speaking are my biggest weaknesses even although I am sure most people would agree I rarely stop talking!!!! Well I started the course at 11 o’clock yesterday morning and became a fully pledged guest for the day and night with Daniel and Rohaise treating me to stay in one of the deluxe rooms and have all my meals in the dining room which was a strange feeling for me being on the other side but absolutely great. The course started with being introduced to the other potential ambassadors and finding out a little about them which with my nosiness was great, a good bunch of people with a head chef, a general manager, trainee manager, head barman and off course me so the fun begun.
Learning about Springboard was very interesting and the point of being an Ambassador with the importance of getting the message out to the people that the hospitality trade is fantastic with many different career routes and opportunities including travelling to all countries in the world. I am very passionate about my job and the Torridon as a whole which I hope comes across!!! And being able to put this across to younger people, job seekers and homeless people is really appealing. We had to put together a presentation about why people should join the trade which in the end turned out to be great with lots of different sides of the trade we soon put together a 15 minute presentation between us and even had some singing and I have to say my nerves held granted it was only the tutor and Rohaise as an audience but before I would have been the coward at the back of the room this time I was one of the ones that came forward.
Over the last day and half I have learned so much about the trade that I didn’t know and can’t wait to share my knowledge with everyone else so beware of your ear drums I am coming to find you as a fully pledged Springboard Ambassador……….CC
