Our Chef


Our head chef, Kevin John Broome has previously been awarded the Michelin Star accolade twice and is highly commended by some of the top cookery writers in the world. Continually striving for excellence, Kevin says: "I'm working with the memory of taste. Happy cooking!"

Kevin’s passion lies in the appreciation of beginning with fresh, simple, well-respected produce arriving in the kitchen. He uses the finest local and international produce, traceable to reputable and highly regarded professional suppliers. None of his dishes involve the use of genetically modified foods and wherever possible free-range and organic ingredients are used.

Before any of his chefs get to cook, they all go through a training program in how to respect the ingredients received at the Torridon and an appreciation of how they are grown or reared for us. Training then commences with a teaching of how to cook Kevin's way with the focus on generating a happy focused team with a the goal of realising the individual's potential
